Bio

Jazze Pha

Phalon Alexander, professionally known as Jazze Pha; Super Producer/Singer/Songwriter/ Rapper and DJ was born in Memphis Tennessee. While still a very young boy he and his family relocated to Los Angeles, California where he grew up surrounded by great singers and musicians introduced to him by his mother, Singer/Songwriter Sydne Denece Hudson. His father is James Alexander, one of the founders and bassist for the Bar-Kays, an influential group that emerged onto the Memphis soul scene in the 1960s. Pha was named after the late Phalon Jones, saxophonist and one of four original Bar-Kays who perished in a 1967 plane crash with the great Otis Redding. Jazze signed his first Artist deal with Elektra Records under the name “Phalon” releasing his debut album entitled “Rising to The Top!” Jazze’s eventual release from Elektra proved to be the blessing in disguise that revealed “Jazze Pha” the Producer!

On relocating to Atlanta, Jazze met the late great MC Breed who saw his potential, taking him under his wing and introducing him to the ATL music scene, launching his career to become the Producer he is today; a Super Producer who has had a powerful impact on the careers of many of today’s hottest and successful Recording Artists.

Jazze eventually formed a Production and management partnership with Noontime Music which birthed his Record Label, “ShoNuff Records.” Soon thereafter he wouldmeet Ciara at Dallas Austins’ DARP Studios in Atlanta at the age of 17 and begin theprocess of grooming her to become the multi-platinum Recording Artist and entrepreneur she is today!

After discovering Young Jeezy, he linked with Block Entertainment leading to a deal that launched the careers of Boys N Da Hood. The Label later found Young Joc, Jacquees, & Gorilla Zoe and signed a multimillion-dollar deal with Bad Boy Entertainment.

Jazze was a Producer on T.I’s first album “I’m Serious.” Since that time, T.I. has become a successful entrepreneur, actor, record label owner, and multimillionaire. Jazze Pha is the first Music Producer to ink a 50 song Deal with Cash Money Records, working alongside Mannie Fresh, Lil Wayne, Birdman and Slim! He is one of the few Producers who has worked with both Notorious B.I.G. and 2Pac! Because of his multi-dimensional musical background, Jazze’s productions range from ghetto anthems like “Sho Nuff” with Tela, 8Ball & MJG to Gospel tunes with Snoop Dogg! These are just a few of many projects among the 170 Million Copies to his credit. Stay tuned…this Super-Producer is just getting started!
